I was expecting more of an office shoe, they did put “Oxford” in the name which is a certain style of dress shoe. These are not Oxford shoes. They also put “Warden” in the name though, pretty much the opposite of “Oxford”… Why not just call them Fancy Lad Prison Work Boots? These are definitely work boots- heavy and clompy, rawhide insta-scuffed leather, squeekin all over office hallways. And they will be squeekin down the hallway for the next thousand years because these are built like a tank. I can already tell these are the type of boots that only get thrown out because they smell bad, not because they fell apart. Read more

I wanted a pair of winter weather shoes to wear with jeans or Docker type trousers. My first choice was the Timberland squall canyon, but at order time Amazon only had a size 10 and it was $50 higher than the Docker shoe. Also, the buyer reviews were slightly higher. Over the last twenty some years I have owned five pair of Timberlands, two mid height hiking boots, one pair of ankle high hiking shoes, and two pair of leather casual leather shoes, more rugged than dressy. Each pair I have bought always felt great out of the box and they wear a long time. I still have four pair, donated on of the rugged shoes to church a few years ago in a clothing drive. I have never regretted the Timberland purchases. BTW, did a five mile hike near Roanoke, Va. a week ago in a new pair of Merrills. Ok, but not Timberland “ride” and comfort. These shoes have the exact look I wanted, rugged and durable. I am age 73, and unfortunately these shoes will outlive me. I wish they were not so heavy and were actually comfortable. I have been wearing them quite often for a month, and they simply not as comfortable as the Timberlands I have. Read more

I bought these to wear on a recent vacation as my previous walking shoes were suspect. We tend to walk quite a few miles a day when we travel. We were going to Germany in October so the NeverWet feature of these shoes was very attractive. We’ve now returned from vacation and I was very pleased with the shoes. They provided good traction on wet cobblestones, are comfortable, and truly kept my feet dry even though we had a lot of rain, some very heavy. The only potential downsides for some people may be (1) they are fairly heavy, and (2) the toes seem to have gotten slightly darker than the rest of the shoe with use and rain. Neither is objectionable to me, but it may be an issue for some. I can’t speak to longevity yet, but I’ve had Dockers oxfords for work in the past and they held up pretty well. Not as long wearing as my go to Ecco oxfords, but less than half the price. Read more

I have worn Dockers Oxford Casual shoes for decades. Upon receipt, the finish was outstanding and the fit was right. The leather uppers are thick – great quality. The Cushion is really good. The bottom / sole and heel are thick, heavy, and very durable. If you do NOT like heavy shoes, don’t order these. However, Since they are heavier and much more durable than most other shoes, they will last a long time. I highly recommend these Dockers Casual Oxfords. Read more

I was disappointed with the packaging of this order. The shoes arrived in their original shoebox inside of a plastic shipping envelope. The Shoebox lid showed significant signs of trauma and the tip of the right side shoe, which was located right underneath the damage to the showbox lid showed scuffing. I started wearing the shoes the day after I received them. Two days later some vertical stitching gave way on the side (see photo) where two bits of leather are joined very near where the shoe would flex while walking. Either this is a design flaw, the stitching was poorly done or the thread used was rotten. For this reason alone I would rate this shoe as 1 star but I gave it 2 stars because the shoe fit well and is comfortable and that’s saying a lot because my feet are very unforgiving when it comes to their comfort. *update 12-29-2020* after several months of use these shoes started to have the the sole separate from the upper leather part. Used some loctite “flexible adhesive” to re glue the soles to the rest of the shoe and they are good as new. Like I said in my first review, I work in a welding shop and these shoes have seen some pretty heavy use and have held up. Granted, you shouldn’t have to re glue your shoes together but the use I have put these shoes through is probably NOT what they were designed for and they have still held up. Will be purchasing again when my first pair finally give up. Great looking shoe. After reading older reviews I ordered a half size small but that was too small. Ordered my typical size and shoe fit great. I work in a welding shop but hate typical work boots so I usually go with oxford type shoes. I have no doubt these shoes will hold up great and provide great comfort even in a harsh environment like a welding shop. The shipper was great to work with. First pair I ordered were damaged in transit so I reordered. Accidentally canceled that order so had to order again, that pair was too small so I returned them and re-re-reordered the correct size lol. Both pairs that actually made it to me arrived within the guaranteed 2 day shipping time. Read more

Only had for a few days, but so far can tell they’ll be comfortable and they look good. They’re heavier than I would have expected, but doesn’t make them uncomfortable. I usually wear size 11.5-12 (US), ordered an 11.5, but these are just a bit big, not to the point where I need to return them, but a size 11 may have been a better fit. Read more

As mentioned in my September 2019 review, I would update my review after Winter. This shoe has proven to be waterproof. In fact, not only do I wear it to work (business casual), but I go out wearing it in the evenings, as well as hike in it and wash the car in it. So yes, in my opinion it now deserves a 5. I would give this shoe a 5, but the weight is slightly more then anticipated. If the weight means it’s a better shoe in the cold, wet weather, I’ll revise my rating. It’s a lot better looking then I expected. The color is just right, stylish looking top. If it was for the treaded sole, it would easily look good as a casual date shoe. Overall, I’m very pleased. Update after the Winter season. Read more
