i’m a big fan of Acorn slippers because of the indoor/outdoor non-slip sole. i’ve been wearing them for years, but i usually wear the flip flop styles. I decided to try something new and bought these for winter, and they are generally okay but the one star rating is because someone had the bright idea to embroider the Acorn logo right where your heel hits, which means that unless you wear socks, the raised embroidery is a constant annoyance. i’ve worn them daily for a week to see if the embroidery would compress to the point it’s not noticeable, but at this point it’s still “rIse and shine, sit up, slide feet into slippers, be instantly annoyed” so i’m moving on. First, let me say, I like these slippers a lot. They are roomy, comfy, very soft and cloudlike to walk in. There’s only one thing that really takes away from them, and that’s the little-embroidered acorn in the heel. Why, oh why can’t they put that acorn in the less load-bearing arch? It really irritates my heel. In fact, after they’ve been on a while, it downright hurts. I don’t see anyone else complaining about it, but if you are like me (princess and the pea comes to mind), it will bother you. I am thinking that I may take my trusty seam ripper and try to remove it. Also, I was wary about everyone saying order a size down. Order a size down. I wear a 9 1/2 wide shoe. I ordered size 8-9 and they are roomy. I could wear fairly heavy socks with no problem. Read more

I have been a huge fan of these slippers for about 10 years but I’m dismayed at this latest pair. The reason I loved them (and replaced them every 18 months) is the deep, spongy padding that helps with my bursitis and plantar fasciaitis. So I was very surprised and disappointed when I put the new ones on and found there was much less padding in the footbed. Really minimal and it makes the bones in my feet hurt similar to just wearing socks on my wood floors. What’s up with Acorn? Did they start cutting corners on the main feature that made it worth spending $30 for slippers? Anyone else noticed this? Read more

LOVE THESE SOOO MUCH! I have plantar fasciitis in one foot and I need to wear some kind of support when walking around the house … These are awesome slippers. I bought a touch smaller than my shoe size and they are perfect, snug and feel great! The give my foot the support it needs while keeping it warm. I love the rubber sole as I can run out to the garage or grab the mail without taking them off. My favorite new brand of slippers and I’ve tried SO many. Quality made and they will last for a LONG time. Read more

To start I am disabled with multiple rare diseases that leave me with incredibly high feet are the worst area. I have tried every slipper out there and the acorns I got about 8 years ago were a Godsend! I read the bad reviews saying how they changed and had to see for myself since these were the only slippers I could tolerate to walk in. To my dismay, they did change. The most important part the cushiony memory foam sole. Its NOTHING like the old ones. My foot feels the floor immediately. They were sewn poorly which made permanent wrinkles under the lining of the inside of sole (the foam wrinkled up feels like). The acorn symbol you can feel immediately since the cushion is much lesser as opposed to my older ones which I could still feel on a horrible princess and pea day but the cushion distracted since it eventually sunk in cushion. These do not feel like true memory foam, they just go flat. The material on the outside seems to be similar to original quality but I cant say for sure as my old ones are wool. You can see in the picture how the wool have worn over the years to be fuzzy but the soles are still going. Acorn has let us all down who depended on their footwear for comfort. I used to tell everyone about acorn, obviously not anymore. Read more

For the first time since I’ve been wearing slippers, I paid more for what I considered a better quality of slipper. I must say I’m quite happy I did so. These slippers give nice support to my foot. They don’t have a clunky look, which I wanted as I like a prefer something that has a neater look. I also wanted a full slipper and not a mule that left the back of my foot exposed. These are intended for winter wear primarily, and they keep my feet very comfortable. As for size, I wear a 5-1/2 to 6 in a shoe but had read they ran small, and originally I purchased the medium. Unfortunately, they were too large and so I returned them and ordered the small. They are perfect for my foot. Read more

These slippers were purchased after maaaaany failed attempts to find the perfect slipper. Unfortunately they came right as it got warm out, so my slipper usage isn’t as high. Some initial thoughts: Pros: VERY warm! The material is soft and pleasant The support is good, I could wear them for awhile and not have sore feet Cons: Too warm for year round use I have very high arches and the top of the slipper is just a little tighter than I would like. There is an embroidered acorn on the bottom of the slipper… that you can feel on your foot. I’m not sure why they put their logo there. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase but I’m not sure they are the end all- be all slipper. Read more
