They seemed very supportive, but size 9, euro 42, was at least a half size too small.Read more

Excellent fit and protection for wide feet on rough terrainRead more

  3. Amazon Customer

Great toe protection and tread grip. Saved many toe bangs compared to other trail running shoes. Good cushion. A bit too narrow in the toebox and forefoot. Scarpa, please widen these areas for a better fit please, or else offer in widths.Read more

  4. Allan

Don’t weight a lot more than spin, but much more cushion than spin, even more than neutron 1&2(yes l own all of them). Also with the sock fit wrap that went from bottom to top(Also offered in spin) gives the best wrapping feeling, spin ultra is the most versatile running shoe from Scarpa.Read more

This is hands down the best trail runner I’ve worn. I’ve used them for 6 months now and wanted to see how they held up to the 3 tough New England seasons of abuse on gravel, dirt, scrambling, loose rocks, mud, light snow and 1000s of feet of elevation changes before writing a review. I run warm and I’ve used these down to 28ºF this winter in light snow with wool socks and only was fine after I got started. Right away from the first step in it felt perfect. I have been wearing Scarpa products for many years now (ice climbing, running, peak bagging and hiking), because it best fits the shape of my foot, (unlike Nike which are too narrow for me), and this is definetly their best trail runner yet. I’m not exclusive to Scarpa though, so I’m not blinded by one brand. If you know Scarpa fits you well, this is the trail runner for you. Don’t use on pavement, lugs are too big. This is a 100% trail runner only shoe.Pros:-no break in needed-great heel cup-the best cushioning I’ve felt-supportive, foot never fatigues-toe box isn’t cramped-laces hide in tongue pocket.-good breathibility-fit is perfect (for me)-comfort is second to none.-Gortex version due soon.-traction is awesomeCons: limited colors available in the U.S.A. Only 1 color available state side when I bought themRead more
