No snow yet but expecting much better glide than the metal skids. I installed them on my Ariens snowblower. Washers fit into the mounting slots just fine. Per some of the previous reviews, the back mounting bolts through a thicker part of the metal housing and the thicker skids are too short – only threading half way into the nut when tight. So I got two 3/8 inch x 1-1/4 carriage bolts at the Ace hardware store for $.60. They fit perfectly. The front bolts are long enough. I got the nuts pretty snug while being careful not to over tighten and possibly damage the non-metal skids. I will check that the bolts remain tight after the first couple of uses. I recommend this product.Read more

Good idea to avoid scraping or discoloring light colored walkways. They are a little thicker at the bolt area than the original metal ones. I had to go buy longer bolts. It would be nice if new bolts were included. Otherwise, I am happy I bought them.Read more

John Deere 826D so they work. They keep a new scraper blade to far from the ground. I will be taking these to work and milling about an 1/8″ off of them. Original size they leave about 3/16″ of a gap and I want it closer to 1/16″-1/8″If they would have come with mounting hardware I would have given 5 stars despite them being to tall.Ariens made my John Deere 826DRead more

Exact shape and fit as my steel skid shoes on my Ariens Sno-Tek 24″. The only problem was the stock zinc bolts were not long enough. The washers fit fine. They shoes are heavy and solid. I found a source online for zinc carriage bolts and ordered them for pennies plus shipping. Don’t forget to keep the scraper bar 1/8″ off of the ground when setting the feet in place.Read more

Not even for my craftsman 48” snow-thrower on my riding tractor but works very well. Just had to “adjust “ them to attach and good to go. Used them 3 times now and seems like they should last a few years and then I’ll buy another set. New cement driveway loves these skids. No marks and smooth while in use. So worth it! Steel skids ….pfffft. Michigan resident supporting Michigan business.Read more

Phenomenal. Someone knew what they were doing when engineering these. The material, fit and finish are perfect for my blower. I’d highly recommend especially if you have a paver driveway.Read more

Did have to but 2 longer carriage bolts. Blower skids beautifully over paved driveway now. No more weaving and fighting the front end. I also no longer have to deal with waxing the old metal skids with paraffin after every other storm, which was a bit of a pain.Read more
