I prefer slip-on shoes. I also wear low heels (nothing higher than 1-1/2″) and need serious arch support. I want them to look nice. ANNND… they need to accommodate an orthotic and a low heel lift in one shoe.Tall order, especially the arch-support/appliances parts.I bought these because I wanted something that would look nice enough for me to wear out in the evening, but was low, supportive, comfortable, and deep enough to hold all the junk I cram into my right shoe along with my foot. These run fairly true to size. When I press at the toe, there’s a bit of room there, but when I’m wearing them, after a while, it feels as though my toes are ramming into the front of the shoe. Not enough for them to make me uncomfortable, though. They have a removable insole, so I can tuck my orthotic and heel lift under the insole. They are deep enough to hold both those appliances AND my foot, which is pretty hard to find.I find myself walking a bit flat-footed in them, which I’ve noticed with other shoes and can’t explain.I love the way they look.- Big enough opening that I can get into and out of them without bending over,- They to look like ballet flats, nice enough for going out in the evening.- Unadorned.- Clean up nicely with a stiff brush. And feel:- Comfortable sole, of a thick rubbery material so there’s some give. But not so much that they look like clodhoppers.- Flexible material.- Very lightweight.I’ve worn them several times. They are fabric, so I don’t wear them in the rain, but otherwise, they are my go-to “dress-up” shoe for winter.Read more

I got the Black Synthetic Nubucks in 8.5 M. I wanted them in just Black, but they weren’t available in my size. Still, I like how these fit. They are extremely lightweight and “bouncy.” The material feels durable and they don’t rub against my heels. In the picture I’m not wearing any socks, but I wonder if they’ll slip or fit a tiny bit tighter when I try them on with thin socks I usually wear with flats. Only concern is that I feel the shoehorn that comes in the flats (as with most shoes) may have stretched the heel a bit much to the point that my heels may potentially slip out eventually. But hopefully not. All in all they feel like quality shoes, true to size & width, and they feel like they’ll get me through a lot of walking without wear. I do wish they were a bit more affordable.Read more

I am a male professor – yes a guy who wears Cloudstepers because they are so comfortable when I am on my feet all day – I have very small feet for a man (7 womens size in a narrow width) with the impossibility of finding shoes that goes with it! – I wear these with jeans and no socks and receive compliments from women all the time – also on the Silian Jetay which I have in a bunch of colors too! – If you need comfy shoes for a long day on your feet just try these – guy or gal!Read more

I hesitated about keeping them because the style felt a little different from what I was used to in a ballet flat. The front comes up farther and is a bit squared. But the comfort is so great, better than any flat I’ve ever had, and I’ve gotten used to the style as unique, and am now really glad I kept them. Each step is super cushioned, so no jarring effect from sidewalk walking. They truly are a good pair of shoes.Read more

I think these would have been very comfortable if they fit right. I purchased my size in normal width. The fit the length of my foot fine, but the width caused the shoes to gap and flop around on my feet. And I actually have pretty fat feet! My feet are far from narrow, but if there were a narrow available, I might would consider trying them.Read more

I’ve really been searching for ballet flats that have some built-in support. I trust Clark’s because they have been consistently well made and comfortable. I bought these shoes in the burgundy and wore them all day today. They slipped on easily and comfortably right out of the box. They are soft and have good support. Like all the other Cloudsteppers I own, this style is just a dream to wear. I ordered other colors.Read more

  7. Amazon Customer

Normally I love cloudsteppers. I have many pairs that I wear all the time. Unfortunately these causes terrible blisters on my heel. I initially tried an 8.5 and it was too long and too loose in the heel and rubbed. Then I tried an 8 which fit better on the heel but still rubbed and caused blisters. These shoes were tight on the toes and loose in the middle of the shoe while walking. Maybe these just weren’t right for my feet. I read the reviews before I bought them and many people like this shoe.Read more

These shoes are cute CUTE C U T E !They are quite comfortable…just wish that they were a teeny bit longer in the toe (my toes touch the tips, but not a big issue). I am thrilled that they hug my feet just right and do not slip off my heels! These shoes are versatile and even a bit “dressy” looking (I bought the black)! I really like them!Read more
