Ordered these boots for my son to work in at a restaurant. Got them in mid November 2017. By Jan 20, of 2017, the sole is split and the boot is coming apart from the sole. With rockport’s reputation, I thought we would get a lot more time out of them than this.Read more

These are my favorite walk around boots for winter. This is my second pair in 3 years and only because my GF accidently threw away my old ones because they looked so old but the soles never tore. Stylish enough to go with my winter attire in heavy snow. The people writing about the quality of this are kind of ridiculous. If you wear this boot 24/7 for heavy work , ya it’s not that kind of boot. And plus it’s less than $100. One guy even complained about it only lasting 1.5 years. 1.5 years for a boot you wore to work that is waterproof and only cost $75 bucks. What kind of value are you looking for. If you want a little bit of sturdy boot for walking around in wet conditions or some snow but still want some style this is definitely it. If you’re looking for something to take to work on construction sites everyday I reccomened you actually get a work boot.Read more

For the most part, these boots are wonderful. Some points to note:Scuffing:As with most leather goods, they will scuff if you knock them against something (which I constantly do, working as a barista in a busy coffee shop). It’s to be expected, and while the upper leather bit of the shoe is absolutely sturdy, it has a soft texture. Any scuffs that happen are easily buffed out. If you work in a job or have a lifestyle that is rough and tumble on footwear and you’re going to get miffed about scuffs, I would suggest changing jobs or lifestyles because stuff happens.Soles:I ordered these shoes back in February, and sadly I’ve already worn a hole in the sole of my right boot. This is, most likely, a result of faulty material paired with intensity of wear. I’ve read a number of reviews on these as well as the Storm Riders and Rugged Bucks (I’m 95% sure these are all the same boot, rebranded), and it seems to be a common problem with this style of boot. I’m guilty of wearing them to work and out and about, so suffice to say I’ve worn the ever-loving hell out of these bad boys. That said, this is the first boot in a while I’ve worn through the toe of, and I’ve had these for about four months less than most of my other boots.Leather Construction:Despite the failure of the soles to stand up to heavy-duty wear as expected, the upper part of the boot is wonderful. The leather has retained its shape, and has shown to be waterproof as promised. All in all, I absolutely love these boots. While I’m a little bummed that they didn’t last as long as I would have hoped, they are gorgeous, have good support, and look amazing. If you have a job that keeps you on your feet, I would recommend ONLY using them for work, or ONLY using them for casual use. Combining work and lifestyle seems to be more intense than these boots can take, sadly.Read more

My husband loves these boots! I thought I had written a review before, but I must’ve decided to hold off until he had gotten more wear out of them. He still thinks they are very comfortable. I got them for him to wear for work. He works in sales and is constantly on his feet and works in michigan, so during the winter his dress shoes would get soaked from the snow. These are nice enough to wear with his grey dress pants and work polos, and they keep his feet dry and warm at the same time. He wears them casually with jeans, too. I love how they look with everything! They are definitely a great quality boot. Would definitely buy again.Read more

Airport footwear: an under-appreciated niche, I feel. I spend a deal too much of my time stomping around airports and there are some things that are a given: walking a lot, towing or toting heavy luggage, being tired after several hours flying, being stiff after several hours in an aircraft, and being grumpy (all of the above, plus I’m in an airport). And I have bad feet and an old knee injury. So, in common with other guys of a certain age (incidentally, why is it called a “certain” age? I generally have to think now before answering questions on my age, or simply round to the nearest five years.), I pay attention to what I wear on my feet. I demand a good fit, comfort, durability and support. Now, most of my peers seem to go for the high-tech trainer solution, but that don’t work for me – I can’t get my custom insoles into them. So I go for the stout walking shoe or boot. Like these. Once broken in, which doesn’t take too long, they are comfy (very), light, well made and generally conducive to clomping from one gate to another. Perfect. Like my old pair of Rockport boots, which lasted a good few years’ heavy wear, but are now fit only for yard duties.Do they look elegant? No. Do I feel stylish and hip wearing them? Heck, no. Do I care? Heck, no. They look fine.Read more

My husband bought these boots for work. He works around 8-9 hours a day on concrete floors as a General Manager. After about a month of normal wear, there was a hole forming in the top of the shoe and now after the second month has passed, the entire sole is coming apart from the boot. These are a total disappoontment. We would definitely not recommend purchasing these.Read more
