This is my honest opinion for my new Timberland boots. I love that they’re waterproof, and have grippers on the sole. With a warm hiking sock they fit as they should, keeping my heel secure and in place, no slipping around; therefore, no blisters (YEA). My toes still have room to move without being sloppy. I got my normal size (7) & the laces are the perfect length, I am able to lace completely up. They provide good ankle stability while hiking on uneven terrain in the woods. Which is where I wear them often. I oiled them with “Red Wing Mink Oil Paste” as soon as I received them, doing so softens and conditions the leather to aide the breaking in process. They were honestly very comfortable from the moment I put them on. I wore them for 12 hrs while making firewood and by the time I took them off that evening they were broke in. (My feet were still dry AND did not hurt!) The padding around the ankle and the tongue is comfortable without being to bulky. I did a lot of research before my purchase of these boots. Timberland boots offered the best qualities for the price. I am beyond happy with my decision to buy these boots!! I have NO complaints. The pros and cons of these Timberland boots are;Pro: comfortable, provide excellent stability and traction, well made, fair price, waterproof, removable footbed insert for ease of airing out.Con: NONE SO FAR (been 14 days continuous wear in snow, sleet and freezing rain, temps from the mid 30s to -10)I hope my review helps you make the decision to buy these boots. I do not regret my decision!I have NOT been paid for my review!Read more

So I bought these boots for my trip out west to Yellowstone, the Black Hills and the Badlands. They arrived only a few days before I left so they had no break in time. I was pretty worried that my procrastination may result in a ruined trip, however, They were amazing! I did wear them with hiking socks but I never got a blister and I was hiking up to 8 mile per day for 3 weeks. We hiked some pretty steep hills and mountains and the boots did great. Going downhill my toes never really touch the front of the boots I just make sure to tie the laces very tight around my ankle and going uphill they were super comfortable. We got stuck having to take down our campsite in a pretty major rainstorm and my feet stayed 100% completely dry! I was honestly amazed, so glad I bought them!!!Read more

This boot is amazing. I worked in the worst of conditions with mud, muck, rain, mountainous terrain, and for 70 to 80 hours a week for 13 weeks while deployed as a housing inspector for a contractor working with FEMA for the recent hurricane disasters in Texas, Savannah, and Puerto Rico. I had these boots on every day except for the few hours of sleep I got each day. And they were so comfortable. Even in 90 degree, very humid conditions in Houston, my feet did not sweat but stayed comfortable. I got many comments from other workers who admired their look and practicality. I think I bought this pair of boots in the early 1990s, I kid you not. I didn’t need to wear them much each year except for the Michigan winters, and recently some hiking and to climb Mount Evans, a 14er in the Rockies. I bought this new pair, that are the exact model of the pair I had, not because the old pair are worn out, but because I walked around through so much dangerous materials to a persons health and manure, that I think I’ll use the old pair for future deployments and the new pair for serious hiking in the mountains. I don’t usually bother writing these reviews, but I wanted to share with others such a comfortable and durable boot!Read more

I’ve hiked in these shoes on three separate occasions for 10 miles so far. I do really like them and they fit true to size. I am usually a 7.5 and that’s what I ordered. They even fit with thick wool hiking socks. I’ve used them on rocky terrain, forest hills, muddy areas, and marsh areas in 30-50 degree, rainy weather. The soles are thick enough not to feel rocks and sticks you step on. And the high ankle piece keeps my ankles secure on wobbly rocks. They have kept my feel warm and dry so the waterproofing is a great feature. However, they don’t have very good arch support so I will need to put inserts in them. I’ve tried other brands of hiking shoes (Oboz) that have better arch support and more cushion for your feet. After hiking 10 miles, my feet are a little sore, but nothing a hot foot soak won’t fix. Also, they do need to be broken in. The ankle part is thick cushion and rubs your ankle. I did not get any blisters because I wore tall socks. However, I did get a small bruise on the bottom of my ankle, as shown in the photo I attached. This is because the ankle padding kept hitting my ankle bone as I stepped. I suspect, based on other reviews, that this padding will wear down and become broken in so I don’t need to worry about these bruises anymore. Also, when I received these new, they already had defects in the outer leather on the front, inside part of the shoe. I’ve attached photos to show where the leather is scuffed. If I were more picky about the appearance, I would have complained. However, I know I’m going to get these dirty and use them well (already have). Overall, they are a great pair of hiking boots! I am satisfied with my purchase and I think they’ll last me a long time.Read more

DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS! They are FAKE. These boots retail for $115 of Timberland’s website. Clearly selling them for $70 is already suspicious! The boots don’t come in a Timberland’s shoe box and doesn’t have the same tags or brand markings like real ones do!Read more
