The mount seems to be well made and powder coated but the description for the item is misleading. This is a mount needed to attach your plow to your ATV but this is actually 1 of 2 mounts you will need to attach it. You would think the mount you would buy would have everything to attach to your ATV but you were wrong and need to spend another $80-$100 on the second mounting bracket you will need. When you factor in buying two mounting pieces you will have spent more on the two mounts than you did on your plow which is not right.Read more

After one winter this is still holding up. I regularly drive faster than WARN recommends and I have yet to damage anything. I was worried that the lever would bind up and be difficult to adjust the blade but that hasn’t been the case. I use this with my 2012 Honda Rancher 420 even though amazon says it doesn’t fit. Check the manufactures website for the right part numbers. When I was looking for info on what all I needed to get this setup going it was a little hard to find good information, so I’ll tell you. For a WARN plow system like mine I needed this base, a warn mount kit which is specific to your ATV, a warn provantage blade, and a winch. I bought the $50 harbor freight badlands winch. For the blade measure the widest part of your ATV and by a bigger blade than that. I think WARN recommended a 50″ blade but I bought the 54″ anyway to get wider than my atv and have been very happy with it.Read more

I was very excited to get this plow hooked up to my Honda Rancher to take care of my 50′ cement driveway. After its first usage pushing approximately 5″ of Midwest snow from my driveway to the street the blade twisted. Needless to say I am disappointed in this Warn Plow and the cheap Chinese steel it is comprised of, and if i had to do it all over again I would look for another brand. If you do decide to purchase this plow remember that you will need to buy a mount kit and push tube assembly. For my Honda Rancher I used WARN 63290 ProVantage ATV Center Kit Snow Plow Mount and WARN 78100 ProVantage Plow Base/Push Tube Assembly. The assembly itself was pretty easy if you are mechanically inclined but be prepared, the directions are useless. Also, there are sections of the directions that do not pertain to every model so you may be left with extra parts like I was. Also, when you go to attach your winch hook to the push tube assembly, the factory drilled hole is just under 1/2″ in diameter and will not allow a winch hook to fit through as the directions show. I attached an anchor shackle (clevis) with a 7/16″ pin diameter though the hole and the plow hook attaches nicely to the clevis. In short, I would look for another model that is made of better steel.Read more

Well I have not yet used this for snow. Still mounted ready though.LOL. Overall this product is heavy duty made well. I had to purchase the mounting bracket 63294 for my Arctic Cat H1650 2007. 4 U bolts and mounted perfect. Bracket is heavy duty steal. That was an extra $70 on top of price for blade WARN 78950 and WARN 78100 plow base/push tube. Direction really sucked. I talked with WARN center and told them so. Then guy said they were looking into it and agreed. Although if your mechanically inclined you will figure it out just fine. Overall it took about 5 hours to assemble. Happy plowing!!Read more

I ordered a Warn blade, a mounting bracket specific to my ATV which pictured the the push tube assembly but didn’t come with the order. So I ordered this product and it didn’t come with the hardware kit. I called Warn and “shucks we don’t have any of those hardware kits in stock” (this is really what they said). All told I was into the project for about $550 and I’ve wasted valuable time. I’ve returned all of the items and will try a different way to get a snow plow on my ATV. Heck, for the price I could probably buy locally and have it installed!Read more

The actual product appears to be well built but i am concerned about the length of the push tubes. They are quite long and they only attach to the atv by two pins. It makes me think that long term they will likely bend the attachment point because of the leverage created by the long push tube. Also do yourself a favor and look at the directions contained in the box with the actual plow blade. This part came with zero instructions. The whole system could benefit from tremendously from about 50 cents worth of printed directions from Warn. Not make or break but its frustrating to waste time on what would be a quick instal with some decent directions.Read more

Great product, but I must say the instructions are poor. Haven’t used it yet, but it seems to be a great product minus the poor instructions for different types of winch hookup vs. type of atv and winch. Improve instructions and use better quality images. The different parts to assemble and entire plow setup all seemed to overlap in parts/instructions. This made no sense. Sell it all in a kit minus the mounting bracket.Read more

Assembly instructions are terrible. Thank God for YouTube. Very sturdy and has functioned well with the exception of the cable guide. Buy the additional cable pulley assembly to save your winch cable. Mine broke after one day. The cable pulley system should be standard as the original design is flawed. I ended up breaking my winch cable 4 times throughout the winter. This frame also reduced my ground clearance to about 2 inches! It hits EVERYTHING!Read more
